Did you capture the American Idol finals last year between Taylor Hicks and Catherine What’s Her Name? The one with the finest voice?
So many business owners squander their time and cash boasting about being the best. “We sell the best doohickeys …” “We supply the best customer service …” ‘
It’s dopey to brag about being the best! Why? ‘Cause
1. Everybody says it.
2. It’s probably not true.
3. We do not think you anyhow
Don’t stress about it, ’cause
4. We’re not always trying to find the very best.
피클티비 Take a look at vocalists. The most famous. The most loved. Are they the best? Rod Stewart’s what, 92? And still producing struck albums! “Do You Think I’m Sexy?” No Rod. I do not. When the tune came out and definitely not now, not 30 years back. Somehow a geriatric Rod got to wiggle his properties on American Idol along with Taylor Hicks! On the other hand poor Catherine is doing a lame cameos on Ugly Betty.
The “It” Factor
In showbiz, there’s an expression “You’ve got ‘it’.” What’s “it”?
The factor they call it “it” is since it’s difficult to put it into words. It’s got something to do with charm, magnetism, the power to attract and hold an audience. Honestly, Rod Stewart never did it for me, but Elvis definitely had “it”.
Access Your Inner Elvis
I just saw a film about Elvis’ life. Why are people so amazed by Elvis? Due to the fact that a character that huge never ever passes away.
Why was the guy such a star? Was it his look, his character, his voice, his music? It’s probably all of those things– together with this wonderful thing called “it”, but even with Elvis, it took him a while to discover his inner “it”.
In the film, a docu-drama (or shlock-u-drama), Elvis walks into Sun Records, a little Memphis recording studio, to sing for Sam Phillips. Elvis sings like Bill Monroe; he sings like Bing Crosby; he sings like the other day’s news. Just another singer. A penny a lots.
It wasn’t a quickie, even for Elvis, to discover his initial voice. However he kept at it and Phillips kept pushing him. Ultimately he did discover it. And the rest is history!
What’s this got to do with business owners? Everything!
You got ta discover your initial voice. You got ta gain access to your Inner Elvis!
Do that and view your star shine.
